You have a good handle on Jean-Luc's character; I liked the point where he's thinking that with these two people, *he* would be their focal point. Such an ego, our boy. You also got the Q & Picard dynamic down well; isn't it fun to write their dialogue? ... Anyway, I liked it and look forward to seeing more of your work. |

I just finished reading your story...didn't know about your site until this eve. I really enjoyed it. I am a writer, too, and naturally I couldn't help but edit a little in my head, but that was basically only at the beginning. Soon I was caught up in your byplay (no semi-pun intended) between the characters. I especially enjoyed the right-on way you drew Q's characterization. I have always enjoyed best the episodes and books that feature Q, and I wish he were around more often. In any case, the dialogue really rolled right along, and, oh heck, so did the narrative...I just really enjoyed reading it. I read the novels all the time, but never found a short story before. As Beverly might say at this point, hey, thanks for a fun time! |
