"Shadows" by Ariana Overall Rating: A good read

Again, Ariana, you write wonderfully. I'm no critic on "how" something is written, but I sure do know what I like... Um...is it just me,.....or does anyone else wish they could trade places with Kira in Arianas stories?????? (heavy sigh)

That was a chilling way to end it. I wasn't expecting happily ever after but you don't pull your punches do you. ... The story was technically good and the dialogue was very effective and quite realistic I think (although I haven't seen much Season 5) It just gave me rather a jolt at the end. This is the way the world ends, not with a bang but a whimper. A very dramatic conclusion to an excellent story. You've given me a lot to think about.

It's taken me a while to find time to read this fully, but it was worth the wait! :-) The characters are both nicely observed. You keep the tension racked up throughout - love the way one then the other gets the upper hand - and oh, how chilling the ending! Another nice piece of work. Keep it up!
